Integrating Gem

Connecting candidate.fyi with Gem takes just a couple of minutes. This integration enables smoother data syncs and a more automated workflow for your hiring and coordination processes.

Follow the simple steps below to generate your Gem API key and securely share it with your Customer Success Manager (CSM) so we can activate the integration on your behalf.

Step 1: Generate Your Gem API Key

  1. Log in to Gem.

  2. Navigate to Account Settings

  3. Select Integrations from the left-hand sidebar.

  4. Click into API Keys.

  5. Select Create API Key.

  6. When prompted, name the key: candidate.fyi.

  7. Save your new API key.

Tip: Treat this key like a password—don’t share it over email or Slack.

Step 2: Provide the API Key Securely to Your CSM

Once your API key is created:

  • Share it securely with your candidate.fyi Customer Success Manager.

  • We recommend using a secure method such as https://share.doppler.com/

After we receive your key, our team will handle the rest of the setup and notify you once the integration is complete.
