Interview Plans

Last updated: October 28, 2025

Summary
Interview Plans let you predefine interview stages, rounds, and automation rules once, then reuse them across new jobs. This saves time and ensures consistency in how interviews are structured when activating new roles.

Feature Overview

  • Create reusable templates for interview stages and rounds.

  • Set default interview automations and assignments per stage.

  • Import an interview plan when activating a new job.

  • Customize interviewers for a specific job without changing the plan template.

Prerequisites

  • Interview Plans enabled for your account

  • Admin or editor permissions.

  • Access to Templates & Libraries → Interview Plans.

  • At least one interview round already defined in your account.

Before you start (UI path)

  • Go to: Templates & Libraries → Interview Plans

Steps

  1. Click New Interview Plan.

  2. Enter a name for the plan and click Create.

  3. In the list of non-configured stages, select a Stage (e.g., Phone Interview or Onsite).

  4. Choose a Round to associate with that stage (e.g., Hiring Manager Interview or Panel).

  5. Configure defaults as needed.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Repeat steps 3–6 for each additional stage you want to include.

  8. When finished, click Save.

  9. To apply your plan to a new job, go to Hiring → Jobs → [Select Job] → Setup Interviews.

  10. Choose your Default Scheduler, then select your saved Interview Plan from the dropdown.

  11. Review the stages and click Set Up to apply the plan to the job.

  12. (Optional) Customize interviewers for this specific job by editing the interviewer fields in each stage—changes here will not affect the original plan.

Notes & limitations

  • Changes to an interview plan's connected Round do not retroactively update jobs already using it if the interview has been customized on the job

  • Only schedulable stages can be included in a plan.

  • Customizing interviewers in a job affects that job only - original plan stays unchanged..
