Integrating ORC

Prerequisites

Before getting started, please carefully read the following to make sure you fulfill all requirements for the integration to work:

To set up this integration, you must have the necessary permissions to access the "Security Console." To find out how to access the "Security Console," please follow the first steps under Permissions below.

If you don't have access, please contact whoever has the necessary permissions in your company before continuing.

Find you Oracle Recruiting Cloud Address

  1. Log into your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance.

  2. Copy the value of the URL, everything from "https://" to the first "/" and save it to send to candidate.fyi.

Create a new custom role for this integration

  1. Click on the 3-bar menu in the top left of your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance:

  1. Next, scroll down to "Tools" open the menu, then go to "Security Console":

Note: If you don't see the "Security Console" setting, you don't have the right permissions to complete the connection.

  1. In the Security Console click on "Create Role"

  1. Follow your enterprises naming and code conventions for custom roles. You will not be able to change the code or delete the role after creation. For "Role Category" select "HCM - Job Roles".

  • Click Add Function Security Policy and add the following privileges:

  • IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_JOB_OFFERS_RO_PRIV

  • HRQ_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_QUESTIONNAIRES_RO_PRIV

  • HRQ_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_QUESTIONS_RO_PRIV

  • Navigate to the "Role Hierarchy" step and add the following Roles:

  • ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_WORKFORCE_STRUCTURE_LOVS

  • ORA_IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_JOB_REQUISITIONS_RO

  • ORA_IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_JOB_APPLICATIONS

  • ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_WORKSTRUCTURES_RO

  • ORA_IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_CANDIDATES

  • ORA_IRC_SEARCH_FOR_CANDIDATES

  • ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_WORKER_AS_WORKER

  • ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_USER_ACCOUNTS_RO

  • HCM_DATALOADER_IMPORT_RWD

  • ORA_HRC_HCM_DATA_LOAD_DUTY

  1. Navigate to the Summary step and click Save and Close.

  1. Wait for the custom role to be created. You can monitor the progress in the "Administration" tab of the "Security Console"

Assign a security profile to the custom role

  1. In the right top menu, click on "Setup and Maintenance":

  1. Click on the box on the right side and click on "Search"

  1. Search for "Assign Security Profiles to Role" in the search bar, press enter and select the entry as pictured:

  1. Search for the role you created earlier.

  2. Select the entry as it appears, and select "Edit"

  1. Click "Yes" when prompted.

  1. Simply click "Next" to go to step 2:

  1. Select the following Security Criteria:

    • Organization: Organization Security Profile: View All Organizations

    • Position: Position Security Profile: View All Positions

    • Countries: Country Security Profile: View All Countries

    • Person: Person Security Profile: View All People

    • Job Requisition: Job Requisition Security Profile: View All Job Requisitions

  2. Hit next until you reach the "Review" step.

  3. Finally hit "Submit":

  1. If you click on "Search" again a green check mark will appear:

Add the Data Security Policies for Candidate e-mail addresses and phone numbers and Job offers.

  1. Go back to the "Security Console"

  2. Search for the custom role and click on "Edit Role"

  1. Navigate to the Data Security Policies tab:

  1. Create the following new policies:

  • Data Resource: Job Offer

    • Data Set: All values

    • Actions:

      • View Job Offer Other Compensation

      • View Job Offer Salary

      • View Job Offer

      • View Job Offer Salary Analytical Attributes

  • Data Resource: Person Email

    • Data Set: All values

    • Actions:

      • View Person Email for Recruiting

  • Data Resource: Person Phone

    • Data Set: All values

    • Actions:

      • View Person Phone for Recruiting

  1. Click on "Summary" then on "Save and Close".

Create a new integration user

  1. Click on the 3-bar menu in the top left of your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance:

  1. Next, scroll down to "Tools" open the menu, then go to "Security Console":

Note: If you don't see the "Security Console" setting, you don't have the right permissions to complete the connection.

  1. Next, go to "Users" then "Add User Account"

  1. Fill in the necessary information, saving the "User Name" and "Password" for later. If you have a custom "User Category" for service users without password expiration policy make sure to select it.

  1. Next, click on "Add Role":

  1. Add the custom role you created earlier to the user.

  2. Press "Save and Close".
